Programme Update

Wednesday, July 01

  • Please bear in mind that Palexpo is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted only in the lobby near the main entrance.

In the course of the data entry process for the Conference Record (or "Phone Book"), a few co-authors of presentations may have been omitted. The organisers and producers apologise for any inconvenience or embarrassment this may cause. As there will be follow-up publications in electronic form which will rectify this, you are invited to come to the Speakers' Centre between 12:30 and 13:00 each day if you wish to discuss your abstract.

Oral Sessions

  • In Session C31 at 11:00, Kofi Awusabo-Asare will discuss Epidemic determinants and dynamics in Africa.
  • In Session D31 at 11:00, Suzanna Kalckmann will discuss the female condom as an empowering technology. A talk by Lori Heise will follow.

  • In Session A33 at 13:00, Peter Biberfeld will discuss lymphocytes and lymph nodes.
  • In Session C36 at 13:00, Peter Aggleton will discuss male sex work in Mexico City, and the order of presentations has changed.
  • Session D34 at 13:00 will conclude with a talk by Aly Ba entitled Ambition is back: Orphans and the future.
  • In Session A35 at 15:00, the order of presentations has changed.
  • In Session B36 at 15:00, Conference Organisers regret to announce that an error was made in the organisation of the session on Effects and Use of Antiretroviral Therapy. Consequently, the EuroSIDA Study Group has decided to withdraw the presentation by Dr. Lundgren, to allow sufficient time in the session for the remaining presentations. Dr. Kirk and Dr. Mocroft will present the other two papers at the beginning of the session on behalf of EuroSIDA. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Community Symposia

In Session CS11 at 17:30, X. Zhang will discuss the WHO's activities in traditional medicine. Misha Cohen will facilitate discussion on Chinese medicine.
